The Saturday Seven 8/25/12

1. Mood: Grateful. I am so lucky to have such wonderful people (& pets) in my life. I am also feeling grateful for everything that I have even though some may think it's not a lot (& at times, it can feel like not that much). I know it's always easier said than done but we should try to appreciate what we have instead of concentrating on what we don't have. Did I really just write that?! Whoa! :)
2. One good thing from the week: It's the weekend! Thank goodness!!!
3. Product(s) I'm adding to my wish list: Today I will begin my search for the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow (limited edition) in Barely Beige. It looks like a pretty base for other shadows or a beautiful color by itself. From the pictures I have seen online, it looks like there are only a few of each color included on the new displays and Barely Beige is the most neutral which will probably hinder my chances of getting it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will actually find it!
4. Most used product of the week: Benefit 'Hello Flawless!' Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation in 'I'm So Money' Honey-My skin is finally on the way back to normal after my allergic reaction to the Kat Von D foundation. I'm so excited to be able to wear a full face of makeup again!
5. Scent of the week: Tainted Love by TOKYOMILK/DARK (notes include: dark vanilla bean, orchid, white tea & sandalwood)
6. Favorite song of the moment: Lost by Frank Ocean...It has a real retro sound & it gets stuck in your brain. Just real catchy!
7. A sprinkle of randomness: I spend way too much time online "window shopping" but I just tell myself it's research. :)

The Saturday Seven 8/18/12

1. Mood: Blah...It is cloudy & overcast today. I also woke up with a headache. Not a good start to the weekend but I'm hoping it will get better! :)
2. One good thing from the week: I had three days off from work this week which was a nice little break. 
3. Product(s) I'm adding to my wish list: I am still wanting an affordable curling iron to style my new haircut. I have been eyeing the Hot Tools 1 1/4" from Ulta. I also have been trying matte shadows since the hives on my face (from the foundation) are accentuated by shimmery shadows. I would love to get the Too Faced matte shadow set. 
4. Most used product of the week: The original UD Naked palette. I had an allergic reaction to a new foundation & was unable to wear much makeup this week. :0/
5. Scent of the week: Bath & Body Works Charmed Life
6. Favorite song of the moment: Some Nights by Fun. You just can't help but sing along!

7. A sprinkle of randomness: My pups are so sleepy this morning. Our little family usually gets an early start (6 am) but this morning everyone slept until 8:30!

Dupe Alert: UD's Verve

By far my favorite shadow from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette is Verve (4th from the right). It is a beautiful, shimmery light taupe shade. I use it for a variety of different looks from work appropriate day looks to going out/evening looks. I used it the other day and saw a noticeable dip in the shadow but I have no worries about hitting pan on this shadow. I have found a fabulous, affordable dupe for Verve.

The Saturday Seven 8/11/12

1. Mood: Motivated. I started planning on reorganizing my closet and the office in our house. I also want to go through my makeup collection and clothing to weed out things I don't use/need (which I will hand down to my cousins or donate). Plus I want to film a bunch of new YT videos. We'll see what happens! 
2. One good thing from the week: It's over! 
3. Product(s) I'm adding to my wish list: I changed my hair a little bit to a center part and have found that curling it (slightly) looks pretty. I have been using hot rollers which are somewhat time consuming...not too bad but during the week, time is always limited in the morning. So I am looking for an affordable, good quality 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" curling iron and jumbo velcro rollers. 
4. Most used product of the week: Sephora eye primer
5. Scent of the week: Victoria's Secret Bombshell body mist
6. Favorite song of the moment: New Day by Alicia Keys

7. A sprinkle of randomness: My hubby and I are going to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight. I have to figure out what to wear! Maybe I will film an OOTN...

The (Late) Saturday Seven 8/5/12

1. Mood: Still overwhelmed. Never enough time in a day!
2. One good thing from the week: Hubby and I had a date night on Friday. We went to a restaurant that we haven't been to in a while and had a lovely dinner.
3. Product(s) I'm adding to my wish list: I recently watched JLovesMac1's video (on YT) about her Rebelle colored hair extensions. I would love to try a set in either Indigo, Ocean, Rose or Sunset. Check them out here: Rebelle Colored Hair Extensions What color do you like???
4. Most used product of the week: L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara...I purchased this a few months ago in a set with an eyeliner but never used it until now. It's definitely not my favorite mascara (and removing it is a chore) but I am trying to get through it before opening a new one.
5. Scent of the week: Kim Kardashian Gold...don't hate! Lol. It smells yummy!
6. Favorite song of the moment: Heart Attack by Trey Songz
7. A sprinkle of randomness: I spent yesterday hanging out with my mom and my brother joined us for lunch. It's nice to have family time! :)
