I am a huge fan of NYX Butter Glosses and have several that I reach for often. I recently saw on the NYX website that they released a new Butter Lip Balm. Instead of placing an online order and waiting for it to arrive (I am impatient when it comes to new beauty!), I decided to see if my local Ulta carried them.
I had rewards club points to redeem so I dragged my hubby along with my fingers crossed that Ulta would have them in stock and that they wouldn't all be opened and used already. As luck would have it, there was a new row of Butter Lip Balms sitting in the NYX display. Some were already tested and some were out of stock but I was able to pick up four shades: Marshmallow, Biscotti, Panna Cotta, and Ladyfingers.

They retail for about $3.99 each and of course, I had a coupon! So not a bad deal. The packaging reminds me of a more cheerful version of ChapStick and the gloss has a sweet, almost fruity scent. The Butter Lip Balms are a lot more shear than the Butter Glosses (see swatches) but are great for younger makeup gurus, more casual looks or even on no makeup days when you need "just a little something". If you're a lip gloss junkie like myself or if you're looking for an economically way to spruce up your gloss stash this season, pick up a Butter Lip Balm or two!
